A SEX beast who preyed on children but was spared because of his high cholesterol and sleeping problem, among other reasons, has been accused of abusing more kids – as new details emerge that he paid at least one victim $5000 to keep her silent.

The applicant appealed against a sentence of imprisonment for three years, imposed upon him when he was convicted upon two counts of indecently dealing with a girl who, at the time of the offences, was about nine years and five months of age.

The court case involving Ernie Barry on 25th January 2011 was brief and the defendant did not appear in person. The magistrate set a new date for a future plea hearing (Case No. A13163708).

THE 63-year-old is accused of the repeated indecent and sexual assault of a four to eight year old girl between late 1977 and early 1981, while in his mid-20s.

A man aged in his 70s has pleaded quilty to serious offences against children in the 1970s.
